Set up Logvia.

Everything you need to set up Logvia on your store. Most sites are ready after the first three steps.

Install

  1. In your dashboard go to Plugins → Add New, search for Logvia, then install and activate it.
  2. Open Settings → Logvia. Pick your accent colour on the Appearance tab.
  3. Log out, or open your site in a private window, and click My account to see the new login.

Account page and URLs

On activation Logvia creates a page called Account access at /auth/. All screens live under it:

ScreenAddress
Log in/auth/login/
Sign up/auth/register/
Enter verification code/auth/verify/
Forgot password/auth/forgot/
Set a new password/auth/reset/

You can rename the page or change its slug. The page must contain the [logvia] shortcode. If you change the slug, visit Settings → Permalinks and click Save once.

Email delivery

Verification codes and reset links are sent by email, so your site must be able to send email reliably. Install an SMTP plugin, such as WP Mail SMTP, connect it to your mail provider and send a test email before you go live.

If a customer says the code never arrived, check your SMTP plugin's email log first. Logvia hands every message to WordPress.

Turn the popup on under Settings → Logvia → Popup and choose a centered window or a panel that slides in from the side. It opens from any of these:

  • A link to #logvia-login or #logvia-register
  • Any element with data-logvia-open="login" or data-logvia-open="register"
  • Any element with the class logvia-login-trigger or logvia-register-trigger
  • Links to the login, registration or My Account pages, when Open the popup when visitors click any link to the login or registration screen is on
  • Automatically after a delay, on all pages or only the pages you list, and only once per visitor if you like
<a href="#logvia-login">Log in</a>
<button data-logvia-open="register">Create an account</button>

In Appearance → Menus open the Logvia box and add the items you need. In block themes, add a Custom Link with the same address in the Navigation block.

Shortcodes

ShortcodeShows
[logvia]All screens. Used on the account page.
[logvia_login]Only the login form
[logvia_register]Only the registration form
[logvia_forgot]Only the forgot-password form
[logvia_link type="login"]A link that opens the popup. type can be login, register, both, account or logout. Optional: text and class.

The form shortcodes accept redirect_to, for example [logvia_login redirect_to="/shop/"].

Form builder

Open Settings → Logvia → Form builder. Drag a field from the left into the form, or click it to add it at the end. Click any field to edit it on the right.

  • Width: full or half. Two half fields sit side by side.
  • Save value to: first or last name, a WooCommerce billing field, or a custom user field with a key you choose.
  • Required, placeholder, help text, default value and length limits.

Email and password are always part of the form. You can move them and change their labels. Use Preview to see the form as customers will, then Save form.

Google sign-in

  1. Open Google Cloud Console → APIs & Services → Credentials.
  2. If asked, set up the OAuth consent screen: app name, support email and your domain.
  3. Click Create credentials → OAuth client ID and choose Web application.
  4. Under Authorized redirect URIs paste the address shown on Settings → Logvia → Google sign-in. It looks like https://yourstore.com/auth/google/callback/.
  5. Copy the Client ID and Client secret into Logvia, tick Show "Continue with Google" and save.

Administrators, editors and shop managers cannot use Google sign-in unless you allow it. This protects your dashboard if a staff member's Google account is ever compromised.

Captcha and security

Under Settings → Logvia → Security choose Cloudflare Turnstile, reCAPTCHA v2 or reCAPTCHA v3, paste the site key and secret key, and pick which forms use it. Turnstile is free and usually invisible to people.

On the same tab you can set the minimum password length and strength, show the strength meter, and decide how many failed logins are allowed before a short lockout.

WooCommerce

  • Replace My Account login: guests who open My Account see Logvia instead of the WooCommerce form.
  • Checkout login: the "Returning customer? Click here to login" link opens the Logvia popup.
  • Require an account to check out: guests can fill the cart but must log in or sign up at checkout. They come straight back with the cart kept.

New accounts get the WooCommerce Customer role.

Redirects

On the General tab choose where people go after logging in, after signing up and after logging out: My Account, the home page, the page they were on, or any address you enter.

Design and templates

Choose the accent colour, corner radius, popup width, logo and layout on the Appearance tab. The split layout shows an image with a title beside the form.

For finer control, override the CSS variables:

.logvia { --logvia-radius: 4px; }

To change the HTML, copy a file from wp-content/plugins/logvia/templates/ to your-theme/logvia/ and edit the copy. Your changes survive plugin updates.

Every heading, button and label can be changed under Texts & emails. Logvia is translation ready and includes a WPML config, which Polylang also reads.

Installing Pro

  1. Keep the free Logvia plugin installed and active.
  2. Download Logvia Pro from your purchase email and upload it in Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  3. Activate it and enter your licence key. New options appear inside the existing Logvia tabs.

Troubleshooting

The verification email does not arrive

Install an SMTP plugin and send a test email. Ask the customer to check spam.

I am locked out of my dashboard

Add this line to wp-config.php, log in at /wp-login.php, fix the setting, then remove the line:

define( 'LOGVIA_DISABLE_WP_LOGIN_REDIRECT', true );

The /auth/ page shows "Page not found"

Go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save once.

Old forms appear after I change settings

Logvia tells caching plugins not to cache its pages. If yours ignores that, exclude /auth/ from the cache and clear it.
